Spin polarization through a molecular junction based on nuclear Berry curvature effects

We explore the effects of spin-orbit coupling on nuclear wave packet motion near an out-of-equilibrium molecular junction, where nonzero Berry curvature emerges as antisymmetric part electronic friction tensor. The existence mandates that different packets (associated with spin states) experience curvatures, i.e., pseudomagnetic fields. Furthermore, for a generic, two-orbital two-lead model (representing simplest junction), we report significant polarization current decaying and oscillating signatures in large voltage limit---all result motion. These results are consistent magnetic AFM chiral-induced selectivity experiments. Altogether, our highlight essential role condensed phase dynamics, separation survives dissipation to electron-hole pair creation one manifestation curvature.
